Our People

ComfortCare has specialised in the provision of agency care workers since 2012 to a variety of settings including the care of a diverse range of clients within their home environment. Our key objective is to ensure that the independence, privacy and dignity of each client is maximised to the full through the provision of a comprehensive range of high-quality care and welfare services, each delivered to meet specific client needs.

We are registered with the Care Quality Commission and Care Inspectorate Wales, and are inspected by them on a regular basis. We are committed to a policy of Quality Assurance and all our staff are trained to a high standard.

We strive to employ the right people with the right qualities to be able to represent our company in providing care. We have a strict recruitment process whereby each new employee is met by management for interview and thoroughly checked by Disclosure and Barring Service and satisfactory references before being introduced to our service users. On commencement of employment they enter a period of probation during which their suitability for continued employment is assessed.

We place a strong emphasis on developing a workforce that has sound basic skills for working with people, as well as the specialist skills and knowledge for working with individuals with specific needs. New staff undergo and complete the Social Care Induction Framework within 12 weeks of employment and enrol on a QCF Health and Social Care level 2 course within 6 months of employment. Staff at all levels complete their 'refresher' courses annually as a National Minimum Standard.

We have a young management team, all of whom started their career in the care sector as care workers and progressed. We have gained our experiences from being hands on with clients and expanded our knowledge through completing relevant Health and Social Care QCF levels 2-5. Together we have been able to build and maintain strong working relationships with our staff by sharing our previous experiences in providing them with first hand support.
